Steam for your well-being

The hammam

The idea is to relax your body and mind in a hot steam bath. It is often scented with blends of essential oils from Middle Eastern tradition. A delight of sensations for your body and nostrils!

Sauna

This is the Scandinavian cousin of the hammam. It diffuses a drier heat (20% humidity) than the hammam (100% humidity). So which one should you choose? It’s a matter of taste. These two steam baths will leave you feeling like you’re floating on a cloud for the rest of the day.

Oriental medicine to maximise your well-being

Shiatsu

This is a body manipulation technique coming from Japan. It involves applying pressure to the meridians using the thumbs, palms and even elbows. It can help prevent or even relieve certain joint diseases, and improve the body’s energy circulation.

Kobido

Also from Japan. It is a facial massage that stimulates the skin, muscles and nerves of the face through pressure, smoothing and stretching. With this treatment, no more drawn features, dark circles under the eyes or that look that makes you feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. You’ll be zen and ready to climb mountains!

Acupuncture

Coming from traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture involves restoring the circulation of ‘tchi’ by inserting needles into the meridians (points where vital energy circulates) in the body.
